THE NEW ATTRACTION: SUNFLOWER FARM

Perak, Dec 20- With 0.8 hectare farm, a sunflower fam in Bagan Datuk, Perak is the latest attraction that promises a beautiful panarama and an insta-worthy scenery.
Owner Khor Weng Kian said that his farm receives almost 400 visitors daily who would take pictures with giant sunflower plants, feeding fish and ducks.
Khor said he got the idea to open this farm after seeing tourists who like taking pictures with sunflowers growing by the roadside as backdrop. And that is when Khor realized that sunflower has its own attraction and wanted his farm to be a new attraction location in Bagan Datuk.
According to Khor, sunflowers have a short life span. He had to plant three lots of them to ensure sunflowers are always available and that his customers wouldn't be disappointed. 'Sunflower seed are cheap but the cost of caring for the plant is high because they get damaged by insects and need optimum care.'
The farm is open everyday from 9am to 7pm with an entrance fee that starts from RM5 to RM13, depending on the age.
