Tech and Us!

Our smartphones contain various of applications and one of them is search region which has all the information we are looking for.For example,Google search and Siri.They just does not come with search region but they also comes with google maps,health application,photos,music,video and cloud back up.This software and applications helps us in many ways and we at least use each application 5 times a day.But how accurate or correct are the information is?Those days,news in newspaper are written by publications but today almost anyone of us have the ability to write anything for the world to read.It can truth or fake but people are always there to believe it.

Besides that,your maps know better where you are,your house and your working place is located compared to people out there and of course your family members.Don’t you think someone is watching you all the time?We do capture pictures and we store personal information in our phone but where does all this information stored?Does this information goes to the developer?Today,we all do use cloud storage to make sure all our personal files are saved.But this information are also used to find an individual’s interest.Perhaps that is the reason why we are getting advertisement or suggestion and moreover when we use our smart phones.For example,you wanted to shop something online either you buy it or not you keep getting more suggestion on the items you looked for.

Moving on,technology leads to job insecurity.Robots and machines are created to work like human being today.This is because a company might want to cut cost or save a lot by doing this but do you realize that quite a lot of people out there are losing their job.For example,one of my friend is working in a call centre where the company are moving forward digitalize where customers will communicate with computers which is customized to talk like a human being.Even McDonald’s are taking orders through online instead of speaking to the worker.This has already taken up all the work that human being do and leads them losing jobs.

Next,we have also come up with a technology which is known as AI(Artificial Intelligence).Artificial intelligence (AI) is the simulation of human intelligence processes by machines, especially computer systems.We all name the device on our hand as a smartphone,yes and that is because handphones are being smarter than us these days.AI has the ability to detect whether its an animal,plants,human being or text.Lately,I saw software which is able to detect individuals and categorize them in a folder.For example,my google photos.This is just in our phone but what about each and everyone in the world who owns a smartphone?Are we safe now?Moving on,day by day we are providing information to companies we do not know for an example every time when we download applications there is a notification require us to allow or block to access the images,contacts,microphones and location.

As a conclusion,now technology is a part of our life.There are pro and cons but technology can used in many ways.I strongly suggest that we should not reveal any personal information to the internet.From my point of view,there is a limit on what we share on the internet especially when it comes to personal information.Technology is a good platform but it depends on how we use it.The more we reveal the more we are in danger.
